FAQs and Policies
How often should I bring in my instrument?
We like to see instruments at least once a year. Getting a bow rehair and replacing your strings annually is a good habit to be in, and when you bring your instrument in for these basic services we will also look it over for larger issues. It’s always best to catch problems early!
Do you have offer a warranty on your instruments?
Yes. We guarantee the workmanship and materials on any item we sell or work on. If something isn’t acting like it’s supposed to, let us know!
Can I trade in my instrument?
Absolutely—working with players to find their next instrument is why we got into the business! We offer up to 100% trade-in on any instrument or bow we sell (less any work needed to bring the item back to salable condition) toward the purchase of a new instrument or bow. The new item must be at least 50% higher in value than the old item for full trade-in value to apply. We also accept trade-in of instruments and bows purchased elsewhere on a case-by-case basis.
I found a violin with an “Antonio Stradivarius” label, do I really have a Strad?
Almost certainly not, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a lovely instrument! Make an appointment and we would be happy to look over the instrument and share our expertise with you.
